{"id":871,"date":"2010-07-21T23:36:46","date_gmt":"2010-07-22T06:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/suenelsonbuckley.ca\/blog\/?p=871"},"modified":"2010-07-21T23:36:46","modified_gmt":"2010-07-22T06:36:46","slug":"explosion-averted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suenelsonbuckley.ca\/blog\/2010\/07\/21\/explosion-averted\/","title":{"rendered":"Explosion Averted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night while I was getting ready to watch more &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0844653\/\">Legend of the Seeker<\/a>&#8221; the TV series bases on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sword-of-truth.com\/books\/the-sword-of-truth\">Terry Goodkind, &#8220;Sword of Truth&#8221;<\/a> books I decided I wanted some popcorn. <\/p>\n<p>My microwave has been acting up lately so I didn&#8217;t stray too far from the kitchen. Good thing too. Within seconds of me pushing the start button, it began to make a funky noise.  As I raced across the kitchen floor, I saw that the interior light was flickering on and off like a first rate horror movie. I just hoped I could turn it off before it exploded and attacked me with hot, oil-covered, corn-kernal pellets. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Luckily, I hit stop and unplugged it before &#8216;oh crap&#8217; turn into &#8216;oh %#@&#038;&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So my morning included buying a new microwave. This one is bigger so it doesn&#8217;t fit as nicely into the corner as my old one did but&#8230; it&#8217;s bigger. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Most importantly &#8211; it has a popcorn button that works.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>The one on my old microwave never did do the job correctly. I used to have to enter the time myself. Tonight, I had a full bowl of puffy popcorn. FULL I say, none of this 1\/3 left over unpopped kernals and scorched bits nonsense.<\/p>\n<p>This makes me a happy camper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My microwave has been acting up lately so I was on the move as soon as it started making a funky noise.
