Today is Saturday and the weather forecast is great. There will be sun and it will be warm. Actually, I’ve already been outside to water my garden this morning and while it’s still cool, you can tell it will be nice.
So I think I’m going to take the day off. Well mostly.
I have to finish the final bit of coding on the Fiction Therapy website so we can upload it and a have a few other odds and ends to do, but none of this should take me long.
Then I’m hitting my deck with a good book and relaxing.
At least I hope I can relax. I’ve tried to read this Jeffery Deaver novel a couple of times already. While he’s one of my favourite authors, the writing in this one just isn’t as good. At first I thought it was just because I’ve been doing so much editing lately, that my perception was skewed. Which really upset me. I’d hate to think I’ve lost my ability to read for pleasure.
So I went back to some of his other books and there is a definite difference in quality. Whew!
So today, I’ll ignore the prose and dive into the story. The plot looks intriguing, worthy of another attempt.
Failing that, I have a few other books on my shelf I haven’t read yet.
