Almost a Day Off

Today is Saturday and the weather forecast is great. There will be sun and it will be warm. Actually, I’ve already been outside to water my garden this morning and while it’s still cool, you can tell it will be nice. So I think I’m going to take the day off. Well mostly.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

Despite the heated scorn I can already feel from some of my friends, I’ve purchased and finished the new novella by Stephenie Meyer, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner”. I enjoyed this story more than the original series.

Hip Hop Workout

I don’t go downtown much anymore so I arrived early and wandered around. While browsing I found a Hip Hop Workout video. Since little brother took the Wii Fit back East with him, I’ve been looking for something else ‘fun’ to do. I love to dance and I’ve never learned to hip-hop so I figured it was work the money to give it a shot.

I gave in to temptation and strolled into Coles Book Store. I really should know better, I can never manage to leave there empty-handed.

Time for Nuts and Bolts

This afternoon will be devoted to doing some of the backend changes I need to do to several of my websites. Well mine and those of my friends. There is back-upping and updating to be done. Not, my favourite tasks, but I like scrambling for data after a crash even less.

Saturday Morning

My to-do list is as long as ever, but it seems lighter. Probably because I have a plan and have managed to streamline several tasks into a logical progression. Whether I do or not, it give me the illusion of being in control.

Week One

This past week was a whirlwind of cleaning, socializing, meetings and research. The first day I’ve had to myself was Thursday, so I took it. I grabbed the day with both hands and devoted myself to mindless tasks.

My Worst Nightmare Lived by Another

Yesterday just as we wwerre wrapping up our 2-day businesss planning retreat for PaperBox Books/Fiction Therapy, I received an email from my Mom. Joan Flewelling had passed away.
